Job summary

SeAH Superalloy Technologies in Temple, Texas, seeks a Senior Metallurgical Engineer to oversee production, quality and technical integrity of nickel-based superalloys used in investment casting and VIM. You will interpret aerospace specs and lead process improvements.

The role requires deep knowledge of VIM, casting, solidification theory, and NADCAP/AS9100 alignment, with experience in a foundry environment and collaborating with suppliers and OEMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a metallurgical role focused on nickel-/cobalt-/iron-based superalloys.
• Experience with Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) and/or VAR/ESR processes.
• Direct experience in an Investment Casting foundry environment.
• Strong understanding of solidification theory and phase transformations.
• Ability to interpret aerospace/defense specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight and optimization for Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) processes.
• Interpret customer and industry specifications and ensure quality compliance.
• Direct metallurgical testing, including chemistry and metallography.
• Lead RCA and CAPA investigations for material or process issues.
