Job summary

Intertek Minerals in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior Metallurgist to join our Minerals team and lead mineral processing projects. The role focuses on flotation and leaching, with supervision of metallurgical resources and client liaison responsibilities.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering and have at least 7 years of experience in flotation and leaching, with PE registration preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering.
• Metallurgical testing in a laboratory setting is required.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Good communication skills with well-developed written and oral skills.
• 7 years experience in Flotation and Leaching.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage metallurgical resources (equipment and technicians) to ensure metallurgical tests are performed: safely, accurately and on schedule.
• Assist with set-up and layout of facility.
• Interpret metallurgical test work results.
• Liaise with clients to ensure their objectives are met.
• Prepare quotations and proposal based on client needs.
