Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Chemistry or related Engineering discipline with 5+ years of experience OR Master's with 3+ years.
• Knowledge of principles and methods used in complex Metallurgical analyses.
• Ability to research and analyze difficult information and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Conducts metallurgical study, development, testing and analyses of designs, processes or procedures at assigned site.
• Serves as technical expert on complex metallurgical testing.
• Reports issues and makes recommendations to Chief Metallurgist on resolutions.
• Reviews and recommends new or enhanced testing equipment or protocols.
• Contributes to improvement of metallurgical process.
• Evaluates and administers contracts with vendors for services and equipment.
• Maintains awareness of safety regulations and practices at site.
