Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy or a closely related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in quality, customer technical service, sheet metal forming, production stamping, or related steel industry roles.
• Experience with structured problem solving and customer-facing quality support.
• Knowledge of steel quality requirements and processing.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% and to work remotely with some supervision.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of contact and customer advocate for assigned accounts.
• Manage quality relationships with customers, mills, processors, and internal teams.
• Monitor quality performance and communicate potential issues and corrective actions.
• Investigate rejected material at customer or processor locations and disposition them.
• Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, containment, and continuous improvement.
• Transfer customer specifications to mills and processors and ensure understanding of requirements.
• Collaborate with mills to set material boundary samples and testing methods.
• Communicate capabilities, standards, and industry requirements to internal teams.
