Qualifications

• 5-10 years of estimating experience in drywall, metal framing, or interior construction.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction drawings and specifications.
• Proven experience with material takeoffs and bid preparation.
• Proficiency in estimating software such as EDGE or On-Screen Takeoff.
• Solid understanding of construction methods and building codes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans and specifications to develop accurate estimates.
• Perform detailed material takeoffs for metal stud framing and drywall.
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates including labor and materials.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive bids.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to clarify requirements.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and maintain organized documentation.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and support handoff to management.
