Job summary

Solid Rock Recruiting, LLC. is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator for a Maryland-based commercial drywall and metal framing contractor. The role is hands-on and primarily in-office, with the potential for one remote day per week after proving proficiency.

The ideal candidate will independently manage estimates, craft detailed bids, and drive profitable growth in a family-oriented environment. Ideal candidates will have 6–8+ years of commercial drywall estimating, strong knowledge of takeoff

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years of commercial drywall and metal framing estimating experience.
• Proficiency with estimating software and takeoff tools.
• Ability to independently prepare accurate bids with minimal oversight.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Understanding of project profitability and competitive bidding.
• Experience with multimillion-dollar commercial projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for commercial drywall, metal stud framing, and related scopes.
• Perform material takeoffs, labor calculations, and pricing analysis.
• Manage multiple bidding opportunities and meet deadlines.
• Review drawings, specs, and project requirements.
• Evaluate costs, subcontractor pricing, and profitability.
• Collaborate with ownership and operations on bid strategy.
• Identify and pursue profitable commercial opportunities.
