Job summary

Hanover Iron Works, Inc. is seeking a full-time Project Manager to lead and manage complex miscellaneous metals projects from initiation through closeout.

The role involves coordinating with contractors, engineers and foremen to ensure on-time progress and adherence to customer expectations. You will read blueprints, manage submittals, develop schedules, oversee shop drawings, and prepare change orders and billings.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of materials, methods and tools used in miscellaneous metals construction.
• Knowledge of safety, quality and cost control standards and procedures.
• Ability to understand and apply mathematics as applicable to project management.
• Ability to organize and maintain important documents in hard copy and electronic formats.
• Knowledge of proper use of laser level, digital tape measure and fall protection.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with contractors, trades, inspectors and engineers to ensure progress and alignment with plans.
• Maintain positive client relationships and clear communication with all project parties.
• Read specifications and blueprints to determine materials locations, quantities and sizes.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to maintain schedule and material delivery and mitigate design conflicts.
• Supervise fabrication and erection of miscellaneous metals and manage subcontractors.
