Job summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking a Senior MES Developer to design, develop, and support MES applications across manufacturing operations. You will work on Rockwell FTPC, integrate MES with SAP and other enterprise systems, and develop REST/SOAP interfaces for scalable data exchange on site in Sylmar, CA and IL locations.

The role emphasizes manufacturing traceability, eDHR, serialization, PLC/SCADA interfaces, and secure, validated software environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, software engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of IT experience; 2–5 years in MES development and support.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain MES applications supporting manufacturing, testing, eDHR, serialization and traceability.
• Configure and support Rockwell FTPC and related MES technologies.
• Develop integrations between MES and SAP, MII, LIMS, PLM and other systems.
• Design and support RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and event-driven integrations.
• Integrate MES with PLCs, SCADA, equipment, and automation platforms.
