Job summary

Align Technology, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Applications Engineer contractor to join the Global Manufacturing Applications team in San Jose, CA.

You will develop and deliver manufacturing enterprise and shop floor applications. You will collaborate with IT, Quality, Regulatory and Operations, mentor teammates, and ensure robust, scalable MES solutions using Rockwell FTPC and related technologies. Qualifications

• 8+ years of MES software development & implementation experience.
• 3+ years hands-on software development with at least one COTS MES package (FTPC, Proficy, etc.).
• Strong multi-tier architecture, integration, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with MVP architectures and event-driven integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver MES applications and reporting solutions.
• Integrate MES with Level 4/1/2 systems; support labeling and quality systems.
• Identify system improvements and document designs.
• Troubleshoot complex, multi-tier software with root-cause analysis.
• Coach team members and share manufacturing software knowledge.
• Ensure proper documentation and knowledge sharing.
