Job summary

Abbott Laboratories in the United States seeks a Senior MES Developer to design, build, and support MES solutions across manufacturing facilities, enabling traceability, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation.

You'll integrate MES with SAP ERP, MII, LIMS, PLM, and other systems, develop REST/SOAP services, and mentor junior developers while ensuring SDLC, CSV, FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, IT, software engineering, or related field.
• Equivalent experience will also be considered.
• 10+ years of overall IT experience; MES domain experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain MES applications for manufacturing, testing, eDHR, serialization, genealogy, and traceability.
• Configure and support Rockwell FTPC and related MES technologies.
• Develop integrations between MES and SAP ERP, SAP MII, LIMS, PLM, and other systems.
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs and SOAP services and other enterprise integrations.
• Integrate MES with PLCs, SCADA, and manufacturing equipment.
• Develop Java, C#, and web applications used on the plant floor; manage Oracle and SQL Server databases.
• Support on-premises and cloud deployments (Azure) and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor junior developers and ensure SDLC, CSV, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
