Job summary

Corning Incorporated seeks a Senior MES Developer / Support to design, implement, and optimize MES solutions for manufacturing operations. You will bridge enterprise systems with shop-floor processes and mentor juniors.

You will work with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and IT to deliver reliable MES capabilities, resolve complex issues, and improve performance and usability in a dynamic plant environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field with strong manufacturing systems focus.
• 10+ years of MES development, implementation, integration, and support in manufacturing.
• Experience with MES platforms such as Rockwell FactoryTalk ProductionCentre, Camstar, or Siemens Opcenter.
• Strong programming experience in Java or C# and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle).
• Expertise with web services and integration tech (REST, SOAP, WSDL).
• Proven troubleshooting, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, configuration, and deployment of MES applications for manufacturing operations.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable MES designs and data models.
• Develop clean, maintainable code using OO principles and development standards.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Automation, and IT to define requirements.
• Support MES integration with ERP, databases, machine interfaces, and reporting tools.
• Serve as escalation point for MES issues and drive timely resolution.
