Job summary

Corning Incorporated in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of standardized, scalable Siemens Opcenter Execution solutions across Corning’s worldwide manufacturing network. You will partner with business leaders, manufacturing teams, and IT to drive operational excellence and digital transformation.

The role requires hands-on expertise with Opcenter Designer/Portal, strong .NET/JavaScript/SQL skills, and a track record

Qualifications

BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Management, or related technical discipline.
5+ years of enterprise application development experience.
Hands-on experience supporting IT systems in mission-critical, 24/7 manufacturing environments.
Strong understanding of source code management practices and relational database design.
Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements and solution designs.

Responsibilities

Lead Siemens Opcenter Execution solution architecture across global sites.
Architect, implement, and support MES capabilities per IT standards and best practices.
Design high-quality, reusable MES solutions using Opcenter tools.
Develop MES capabilities with .NET, JavaScript, SQL, and SQL Server.
Ensure MES integrates with ERP and shop floor control systems.
