Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to modernize manufacturing execution on Ignition with Sepasoft MES. You will own configuration, testing, and ongoing improvements while coordinating with partners and internal teams.

The role requires 7–10 years in manufacturing systems, a relevant bachelor's degree, and hands-on Ignition/Sepasoft experience, with travel up to ~10% for go-lives and upgrades.

Qualifications

• The role requires 7 to 10 years of manufacturing systems experience, with hands-on Ignition and/or Sepasoft MES Module experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience working with systems integrators or implementation partners on complex builds.
• Familiarity with OPC UA, SQL, and Python/Jython scripting.
• Ability to travel globally for system go-lives and upgrades (~10%).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the internal point of contact for the Ignition/Sepasoft implementation partner, defining requirements and leading acceptance testing.
• Configure and administer the Ignition Gateway and Sepasoft MES Modules; build dashboards and reports for OEE and cycle time.
• Integrate Ignition with PLCs, ERP (SAP), test equipment, and quality systems via OPC UA, MQTT, and REST APIs.
• Ensure end-to-end product genealogy and traceability using Sepasoft Track & Trace.
• Support quality initiatives and provide ongoing user training and support.
