Job summary

Amphenol ICC is seeking a Lead MES Engineer in Etters, PA to modernize manufacturing execution with Ignition and Sepasoft modules. You will guide implementation, define requirements, and work with partners to ensure a robust go-live.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years in manufacturing systems, hands-on Ignition/Sepasoft, and the ability to travel globally (~10%). A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, with strong analytical and collaboration skills benefiting cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of manufacturing systems experience, with hands-on Ignition and/or Sepasoft MES Modules.
• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Hands-on Ignition experience including Gateway administration, Designer, and Vision/Perspective clients; Sepasoft MES Modules are a strong plus.
• Experience with systems integrators or implementation partners on complex builds.
• Familiarity with OPC UA, SQL, and Python/Jython scripting.
• Ability to travel globally for go-lives and upgrades (~10%).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the internal point of contact for the Ignition/Sepasoft implementation partner, defining requirements, reviewing deliverables, and leading acceptance testing.
• Configure and administer the Ignition Gateway and Sepasoft MES Modules.
• Integrate Ignition with PLCs, SAP ERP, test equipment, vision systems, and quality systems via OPC UA, MQTT, and REST APIs.
• Build dashboards and reports for OEE, yield, scrap, downtime, and cycle time.
• Ensure end-to-end product genealogy and traceability using Sepasoft Track & Trace.
• Support quality initiatives such as SPC, FMEA, APQP, and CAPA with real-time Ignition/Sepasoft data.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing user support.
• Train operators and engineers on Ignition/Sepasoft functionality.
