Job summary

Corning Inc. in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Senior MES Developer / Support to design, implement, and sustain MES solutions that enable efficient manufacturing operations.

You’ll bridge enterprise systems with shop-floor processes and lead technical initiatives across Operations, Quality, Engineering, and IT. You will mentor junior engineers, drive improvements, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and provide live production support across multiple sites, while shaping MES

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 10+ years MES development, implementation, and support in manufacturing.
• Experience with MES platforms such as Rockwell FactoryTalk, Camstar, Siemens Opcenter.
• Strong programming in Java or C# and SQL databases.
• Experience with REST, SOAP, WSDL and integration technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, configuration, and deployment of MES solutions.
• Translate requirements into scalable MES designs, data models, and integrations.
• Develop clean, maintainable code using OO principles and standards.
• Support MES integration with ERP, machine interfaces, and reporting tools.
• Provide live production support and root-cause analysis for MES issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
