Job summary

Magnolia is seeking a Senior Merchandise Planner to lead forecasting, assortment planning, and inventory management across multiple departments. This role offers onsite, hybrid, or remote work options and reports to the Director of Merchandise Planning, with supervisory responsibilities.

Key duties include developing sales forecasts, managing inventory to targets, and collaborating with Merchandising, Ecommerce, and Store Operations to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university preferred.
• 1-3 years of management experience and/or 5+ years of related work experience or a combination preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop retail assortment sales plans and manage inventory to meet targets for assigned department(s).
• Meet department(s)’ sales, gross margin, and inventory targets through data-driven decisions.
• Develop weekly, monthly and seasonal sales forecasts using history, trends and insights.
• Manage inventory and order plans to align receipts with demand and financial targets.
• Analyze performance to identify opportunities, risks, and promotional strategies.
• Lead financial reviews and partner with cross-functional teams to inform strategy.
• Coach direct reports to drive performance and collaboration.
• Review stock-to-sales ratios and optimize inventory levels.
• Manage open-to-buy and inventory investments to balance plans.
