Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Austin is seeking a Superintendent Mechanical-Electrical to lead, direct, and coordinate the work of subcontractors on the Austin Main project, focusing on HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and related trades.

You will ensure safety, schedule delivery, quality of work, and adherence to budget while supervising assistants, field engineers, interns, and trade labor, and you will coordinate with engineers on 3D BIM models and coordinated drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or at least four years of formal engineering or architectural experience and a minimum of six years of mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction experience required, or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills; thorough knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems; ability to read contract documents and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Leads, directs and coordinates the work of subcontractors and Turner trade labor related to mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ensures safety, schedule delivery, quality of work, and adherence to budget; supervises Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers and interns.
• Coordinates, directs, and monitors subcontractors and suppliers to ensure conformance with plans and codes; reviews project changes with Project Engineer.
