Senior MEP Project Manager – Mission Critical / Data Centers

Location: Multiple states / Travelers (long term/multi-year projects, strong project pipeline)

We’re partnering with a leading international construction and project delivery organization to appoint a Senior MEP Project Manager with deep experience in mission-critical environments. This is a high-impact role delivering complex, MEP-intensive projects for major technology clients.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing MEP elements across large-scale data center programmes. From procurement and subcontractor management through commissioning and handover, you’ll ensure quality, coordination and delivery excellence throughout.

This is a senior, client-facing position offering strong autonomy and visibility on high-value, technically complex schemes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead MEP delivery across the full project lifecycle
• Select, onboard and manage specialist subcontractors
• Oversee technical reviews including bids, submittals and change control
• Monitor progress on site, ensuring alignment with programme milestones
• Drive coordination between trades, BIM teams and site leadership
• Manage requisitions, variations and performance tracking
• Oversee commissioning, inspections and regulatory approvals
• Ensure robust documentation, testing and close-out processes
• Support client and stakeholder engagement throughout delivery
• Coordinate utilities, life-safety systems and multi-trade interfaces

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services or similar)
• ~10+ years’ experience delivering complex MEP packages on major construction projects
• Strong background in mission-critical or highly serviced environments (e.g. data centers, healthcare, advanced manufacturing)
• Proven ability managing subcontractors and technical coordination at scale
• Commercial awareness with the ability to manage risk and ambiguity
• Confident decision-maker with strong problem-solving capability
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities
