Job summary

O'Connell Robertson in Dallas, TX seeks a talented project manager and mechanical engineer to grow our MEP team in North Texas. Lead development of MEP systems from schematic through construction, coordinating across disciplines for complex Education and Healthcare projects.

Ideal candidates have 5–10+ years of MEP experience, Revit BIM coordination skills, and a strong grasp of NEC/IPC/IMC/NFPA codes. PE licensure is a plus and collaboration across offices is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or architectural engineering required.
• 5–10+ years of professional MEP design experience in an engineering firm.
• Experience with Education or Healthcare projects preferred.
• PE licensure or active pursuit is a plus.
• Strong project management and client communication skills.
• Proficient in Revit BIM coordination; knowledge of building codes (IMC/IPC/NEC/NFPA) and energy codes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architectural and engineering teams to deliver MEP construction documents.
• Develop mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems from schematic design through construction administration.
• Provide innovative MEP design solutions for Education and Healthcare facilities.
• Coordinate MEP with architectural, structural, and civil disciplines for constructability.
• Support site observations and field reviews to ensure alignment with design intent.
• Lead daily cross-office collaboration and stay current with codes and industry trends.
