Job summary

OEI (O'Brien Engineering & Architecture) is seeking a full-time Mechanical Controls Engineer in Dallas, TX with 10+ years of HVAC design experience. The role involves collaborating with an A/E team on municipal, healthcare, federal, and industrial projects using Revit and AutoCAD.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in energy modeling, building codes, and have PE licensure in Texas (or ability to obtain within 12 months). LEED preferred and strong client communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• PE in Texas or willingness to obtain within 12 months
• 10+ years of experience designing mechanical HVAC systems
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and energy modeling software
• Knowledge of IBC, IMC, NFPA, ASHRAE codes
• Design background and building systems coordination
• LEED accreditation preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design in MEP projects with coordination across disciplines and clients
• Ensure compliance with building codes and standards (IBC, IMC, NFPA, ASHRAE) 평가
• Supervise installation of designed systems and equipment
• Prepare cost estimates, specifications, and design analyses
• Attend client meetings and represent mechanical interests of the firm
• Design mechanical systems, air and water side and related controls
• Assist in defining project scope and collecting field data
