Job summary

Barton Associates is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead and deliver complex engineering projects for clients. You will collaborate with clients, engineers, and project teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining high-quality standards.

The role emphasizes strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership within a collaborative environment, with opportunities to mentor staff and drive business development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Minimum 5+ years managing MEP engineering or construction projects.
• Experience budgeting, scheduling, staffing, and client coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple projects, serving as the primary liaison between the firm and clients.
• Cultivate strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with marketing to identify projects and develop proposals.
• Define project scope, deliverables, schedules, and fees in engineering agreements.
• Oversee preparation and execution of engineering agreements and project budgets.
• Direct projects from initiation through completion, ensuring on-time delivery and quality.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and allocate resources across disciplines.
• Communicate objectives, constraints, and quality expectations to teams and stakeholders.
• Provide regular project status updates to clients and internal teams.
