Job summary

Ingenuity Engineers, Inc. seeks a Project Manager to lead complex MEP design projects from initiation through closeout in Orlando. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, and own project billing and budgeting, ensuring high-quality delivery and client satisfaction.

The role emphasizes design leadership, coordination with internal and external teams, and continuous improvement across projects. Travel is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in project management within MEP, construction, or engineering.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, tight deadlines, and large scopes.
• Deep knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations for MEP systems.
• Strong design experience with MEP systems guiding design teams and providing technical solutions.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills for client relationships and diplomacy.
• Independent billing and financial management experience with budgets and forecasting.
• Demonstrated leadership with delegation, team management, and mentoring junior staff.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Ability to read, interpret, and negotiate project proposals, scopes, and contracts.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Lead and manage complex MEP projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring deliverables meet high standards of quality, are completed on time, and align with client expectations.
• Advanced Design Oversight: Take on significant design responsibilities, providing guidance and oversight to the design team for technical accuracy and innovation in MEP systems.
• Client Management: Serve as the primary contact for clients on complex projects, foster strong relationships, and proactively manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Billing and Financial Oversight: Own billing processes, review budgets, and ensure financial performance.
• Delegation and Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project team members, including junior project managers, engineers, and drafters.
• Project Review and Continuous Improvement: Conduct end-of-project reviews and drive best practices for future projects.
• Proposal and Scope Management: Understand and negotiate proposals and scopes, aligning team and client expectations while managing risks.
• Client Expectation Management: Implement advanced strategies to manage client expectations and foster partnership.
• Collaboration and Coordination: Work with internal teams, external consultants, and contractors to integrate MEP systems.
