Job summary

AlphaX is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to oversee commercial and industrial plumbing and process piping projects from preconstruction through closeout. The role demands strong leadership, cost control, and schedule management with a focus on quality and client satisfaction.

Ideal candidates will have direct PM experience in commercial/industrial plumbing, a solid understanding of drawings and specs, and a proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, RFIs, and change orders

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in commercial or industrial plumbing construction.
• Direct project management experience in commercial/industrial plumbing is required.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, drawings, specifications, and installation methods.
• Ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and communicate effectively.
• Experience handling RFIs, submittals, change orders, and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, budget, and manage commercial plumbing and process piping projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Supervise field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain productivity, safety, and schedules.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders to resolve issues and scope discrepancies.
• Coordinate procurement, material deliveries, equipment, and field resources for project execution.
• Monitor budgets, costs, billing, and change orders to maintain profitability.
• Collaborate with general contractors, engineers, clients, and inspectors to resolve challenges and maintain communication.
• Lead project meetings and track progress against schedules and milestones.
• Coordinate inspections, commissioning, punch lists, and closeout to meet contractual requirements.
