Job summary

AlphaGov seeks a Project Manager to oversee commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through installation and closeout. The role requires direct ownership of budgets, schedules, field execution, subcontractor performance, and client relationships.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of PM experience in commercial HVAC or mechanical construction, with a proven ability to drive projects to completion while maintaining safety and profitability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of PM experience in commercial HVAC or mechanical construction.
• Direct ownership of project outcomes, not just coordination.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, drawings, specs, and field operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC and mechanical projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop schedules, budgets, and labor plans to meet deadlines and profitability.
• Oversee field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure safety and quality.
• Review drawings, specs, submittals, and equipment selections to resolve issues.
• Manage RFIs, change orders, procurement, and project docs to control costs.
• Track costs and labor hours, implementing corrective actions when needed.
• Serve as primary contact for general contractors, owners, engineers, and inspectors.
• Monitor permitting, inspections, deliveries, startup, and commissioning.
• Drive project closeout with punch lists, turnover, and warranties.
