Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Experienced MEP Construction Leader to oversee preconstruction, engineering and field installation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems on large projects.

You will report to the Project Manager and Project Executive, lead MEP staff, manage procurement, budgets, scheduling, commissioning and close-out, and ensure compliance with contract documents and codes. A Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 10 years' experience with progressively responsible exposure to design, cost, sequence, logistics and field installations of Mechanical and Electrical systems or equivalent.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software desirable.
• Knowledge of project management and scheduling software desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct preconstruction, engineering and field installation of MEP systems (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, LV, Fire Sprinkler).
• Develop and maintain relationships with engineers, designers, subcontractors, suppliers and owner's representatives to ensure alignment with client goals.
• Lead, supervise and develop MEP staff, including performance appraisals.
• Oversee daily activities of Engineer-MEP and Subordinates; manage procurement, budgets, quality, safety, coordination, scheduling, installation, commissioning and close-out.
