Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced leader to oversee and direct preconstruction, engineering and field installation of all Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems on a Nashville-based project. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of progressive experience in MEP design, cost, sequencing, logistics and field installations, with LEED preferred.

Strong leadership, communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 10 years’ experience with MEP design, cost, sequence, logistics and field installations.
• Able to identify design features that command cost premiums and recommend alternatives that deliver comparable function.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of project management and scheduling software desirable.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with engineers, design consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and owner’s representatives.
• Comprehension of contract documents and Turner standards.
• Lead, supervise and develop MEP staff.
• Oversee daily activities of Engineer-MEP, Superintendent-MEP, and subordinates.
• Manage MEP procurement, budgets, quality, safety, scheduling, installation, commissioning and close-out.
