Job summary

Austin Commercial in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Senior MEP Manager for a multi-billion dollar project. Lead MEP coordination, manage OCC, review submittals, ensure code compliance and safety.

You will guide design teams, run weekly owner/architect/subcontractor meetings, oversee shop drawings, and coordinate MEP scope across trades. This is a leadership role in a 100% employee-owned firm with strong commitment to safety, service, and integrity.

Qualifications

• B.S. in construction management/science, engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of commercial construction project management and MEP experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training required.
• Proficient in project manager software and cost projection.
• Ability to build and manage multiple high performing teams.
• Familiarity with MEP code requirements (NFPA, SMACNA, Plumbing Code, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the complexity of the mechanical/electrical design and estimates both the construction costs and maintenance.
• Serves as a technical resource in meetings with owners and architects; explains anticipated difficulties.
• Attends weekly meetings with owners, architects, and subcontractors; outlines work and scheduling.
• Ensures subcontractors submit shop drawings timely and manages on‑time equipment delivery.
• Coordinates the complete MEP scope and shop drawings between subs; ensures QA/QC.
• Checks mechanical and electrical shop drawings for routing, rough-ins, and code compliance.
• Acts as liaison between owners, architects, general contractors and disciplines.
