Job summary

PMCS Group, Inc. seeks an Inspector (MEP) to audit and verify electrical, mechanical, and plumbing work on the LACMTA Purple Line Extension 3 project in the Los Angeles area.

This role requires strong experience in site inspections, reporting, and safety compliance on complex transit construction projects. Responsibilities include coordinating inspections, preparing NCRs when needed, and maintaining detailed daily logs.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten (10) years of experience on complex projects in electrical, mechanical and plumbing work.
• ICC Certificate of Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing
• Cal-OSHA/OSHA 30-Hr safety certification prior to start of work.
• Approximately ten (10) years of MEP experience.

Responsibilities

• Visit construction sites to inspect each stage and verify work complies with plans, specs and codes.
• Monitor sites for safety violations; prepare Non-Conformance Reports and maintain daily logs.
• Review interim progress reports for payments; monitor testing; report labor/material/equipment on site; ensure conformance or NCRs.
• Promote a safe work environment in line with LACMTA safety rules.
• Coordinate inspection cost estimates and maintenance records.
• Coordinate electrical, mechanical, landscaping, soil testing, concrete, asphalt, and reinforcing steel inspections for conformance.
• Coordinate Metro Test lab activities and compare verification results with contractor's lab.
• Allocate inspection resources, train and supervise inspectors.
