Job summary

Atlas Energy Solutions is seeking a Staff MEP Engineer to serve as the senior mechanical, electrical, and plumbing authority for its power generation and microgrid portfolio. You will own mechanical system architecture, governance, and complex decision-making, establishing scalable solutions across multiple projects.

The role requires leading engineering teams, enforcing standards, and driving high-risk technical actions to ensure plant performance and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in mechanical engineering roles
• Experience with mechanical balance of plant for power generation
• ASME codes (B31.1/B31.3) and NFPA standards knowledge
• Ability to translate basis of design to constructible packages
• Vendor, contractor coordination and field support experience
• Willingness to travel (25–50%) and hold valid driver's license
• Master or advanced degree in mechanical engineering is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical, engineering and plumbing teams across multiple projects
• Define and approve mechanical system architectures and plot plans
• Review P&IDs, specs, line lists and construction packages
• Maintain mechanical design standards and design guidelines
• Coordinate interfaces with engine OEMs, EPCs and stakeholders
• Support construction and commissioning, RFIs, and field changes
• Lead root-cause investigations and safety/technical risk reviews
