Schnackel Engineers is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, analyze, and implement mechanical systems for commercial and residential projects. The role involves load calculations, equipment selection, and coordination with multiple disciplines on complex building projects.

The ideal candidate has an accredited degree in Architectural Engineering with a Mechanical emphasis or a Mechanical Engineering degree, 3+ years of MEP design experience, and PE/Engineer-in-training credentials or

Qualifikationen

• Accredited degree in Architectural Engineering with a Mechanical emphasis or a Mechanical Engineering degree.
• 3+ years of mechanical design experience with an MEP engineering consultant.
• Advanced proficiency with Building, Mechanical, and Energy Codes.
• Engineer-in-Residence credentials in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, Professional Engineer (PE) credentials in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate with clients and interdisciplinary design teams to ensure a fully coordinated design.
• Participate in meetings with clients and internal teams as needed.
• Use AutoCAD/Revit to create mechanical construction documents with plans, equipment, ductwork, piping, and specs.
• Perform load calculations, ductwork sizing, and piping calculations to support mechanical design.
• Coordinate with vendors and reps for equipment selection and specifications.
