Job summary

Schnackel Engineers in New York, NY is seeking a Plumbing Engineer to design, analyze, and implement plumbing and fire protection systems for commercial and residential projects. You will perform load calculations, develop layouts, produce drawings and specifications, and coordinate with MEP teams.

Qualifications

Accredited degree in Architectural/Mechanical/Plumbing Engineering.
2–3+ years plumbing design experience with an MEP consultant.
Engineer-in-Training credentials in Plumbing Engineering.
Strong communication and organization skills.
Ability to work independently with direction.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with client and design teams to ensure a fully coordinated design and schedule.
Participate in meetings and conference calls as needed.
Use AutoCAD/Revit to create document packages with plans, equipment, piping and specs.
Perform load calculations and pipe sizing for plumbing design.
Coordinate with vendors for equipment selection and specifications.
Provide construction administration and address RFIs.
