Job summary

Meade is seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer III to join our team for data centers, industrial buildings, offices, and other high-profile projects. This role emphasizes collaboration with clients, vendors, and external disciplines to deliver integrated mechanical systems.

You will design and document HVAC and plumbing layouts in Revit, perform load calculations, and ensure adherence to codes and energy efficiency practices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in MEP mechanical design.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with HVAC design tools and codes.

Responsibilities

• Design and document mechanical/plumbing systems in Revit for data centers, industrial buildings, and offices.
• Create HVAC and plumbing layouts in Revit, including ducts, pipes, and equipment.
• Perform load analysis, equipment sizing, and performance optimization.
• Coordinate with architects, electrical and structural engineers for integration.
• Prepare equipment specs and select components with energy efficiency in mind.
• Review submittals and RFIs; assist with record drawings and site visits.
• Ensure designs meet codes, standards and sustainability requirements.
• Collaborate with PMs, clients, and vendors to resolve challenges.
• Keep up-to-date with Revit features and best practices.
