Job summary

Pond & Company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Professional Design Services team in Atlanta, Charlotte or Huntsville. You will lead the design of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping, with an emphasis on quality, collaboration, and client satisfaction.

You will mentor junior and mid-level engineers, support proposals, and guide projects from concept planning through construction documentation, ensuring coordination across disciplines and geographies.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university.
• 10+ years of related MEP experience.
• Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD and BIM.
• Experience mentoring and training employees.
• Experience leading projects, supporting proposal efforts and interfacing with clients.
• PE License required, or passage of the PE exam with licensure pending.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical system design including HVAC, plumbing and piping.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Support proposal efforts and client interactions.
• Move projects through concept to construction documentation.
• Collaborate across multiple markets and jurisdictions.
