Job summary

Pond & Company is seeking an Early Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to join our Professional Design Services team across multiple offices in GA, FL, SC, NC, AL and LA. The candidate will grow in MEP design, mentor junior staff, and support proposals.

You will lead design efforts for HVAC, plumbing, and piping, interact with clients, and advance through concept to construction documentation with independence and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university.
• 0-2 years of related MEP design experience.
• Proficiency with relevant software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, piping) for projects.
• Mentor junior-level MEP engineers and guide career development.

About the Position:

We are seeking an Early Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Professional Design Services team in one of the following Pond offices: Atlanta, GA; Augusta, GA; Savannah, GA; Jacksonville, FL; Tampa, FL; Port Orange, FL; Columbia, SC; Charlotte, NC; Huntsville, AL; Mobile, AL; New Orleans, LA. The ideal candidate will possess 0-2 years of related MEP design engineering experience and a passion for growth, collaboration, and innovation. In this role, the successful candidate will take a leadership role in the design of mechanical systems, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, and piping. You will mentor junior-level MEP engineering professionals, guiding them through their career development and providing technical support. Additionally, you will support proposal efforts, ensuring that design projects are clearly defined and accurately scoped. Design projects will span across multiple markets and geographies, giving you the opportunity to broaden your knowledge and deepen your skill set in building systems design. We are seeking a self-starter who can work independently, managing and efficiently moving through a variety of design stages, from concept plans to construction documentation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to lead projects and interact with clients while maintaining a positive attitude and a high level of professionalism.
