Senior MEP Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor - Data Center Construction

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor with expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for a data center project. This role involves acting as the primary client interface, ensuring delivery of value-added cost management services.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be self-motivated, and capable of working independently or within a team. Leadership, strategic thinking, and a client-focused approach are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Estimate and negotiate change orders during construction, focusing on MEP systems.
• Produce and present final cost plans for MEP components.
• Collaborate with design teams and general contractors on MEP cost estimates.
• Reconcile changes and ensure accurate MEP data from contractors.
• Engage with project stakeholders to update cost estimates and review submissions.
• Manage all MEP cost information and participate in value engineering exercises.
• Lead negotiations for fair contract pricing and perform quantity surveying activities.
• Monitor and control MEP costs, manage variances, and prepare financial reports.
• Mentor team members and promote a culture of excellence.

Project/Program Specifications:

• Experience in data center construction or similar large-scale industrial projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• At least 6 years of relevant cost management experience.
• RICS accreditation or working towards it preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction industry practices.
