Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Columbus, OH seeks an Experienced MEP leader to oversee and direct preconstruction, engineering and field installation of all MEP systems. Reports to Project Manager and Project Executive. Regular, salaried exempt position based in Columbus, OH.

The role focuses on managing HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Low-Voltage, and Fire Sprinkler systems, with responsibilities spanning relationships, budgets, safety, and scheduling throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum 10 years’ experience with MEP design and field installations.
• LEED accreditation preferred; strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead and develop MEP staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and owner’s representatives to align with client goals from start to finish.
• Oversee procurement, project budgets, quality, safety, engineering, coordination, scheduling, installation, commissioning and close-out of MEP.
• Lead, supervise and develop Turner MEP staff and oversee daily activities of Engineer-MEP, Superintendent-MEP, and subordinates.
• Ensure comprehensive knowledge of contract documents and applicable codes.
