Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead large-scale commercial solar projects from start to finish on site. This role emphasizes safety, quality control, and timely delivery while coordinating with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.

You will guide crews, enforce safety protocols, review blueprints, and ensure adherence to industry standards, with travel across the United States as needed. OSHA 30 certification and strong MEP knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience in commercial MEP construction supervision.
• 3+ years of people leadership in commercial construction.
• Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback to enable growth and development.
• Strong knowledge of mission critical MEP systems.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage subcontractors, and drive projects to completion.
• OSHA 30 certification or higher.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
• Willingness to travel to anywhere in the United States to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the construction and installation of large-scale commercial solar projects from start to finish.
• Ensure quality control, adherence to project timelines, and compliance with industry standards.
• Lead and coordinate subcontractors, crew members, and suppliers to keep projects on track.
• Conduct safety meetings and enforce strict safety protocols to ensure a zero-incident job site.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to problem-solve and optimize site operations.
• Maintain daily reports, track progress, and communicate updates with leadership.
