Job summary

McKinstry in Chicago, IL is seeking a Superintendent - Prime MEP to lead on-site management of subcontractors and maintain client relationships. You will develop and update project schedules, review submittals, coordinate trades, and manage punch lists to ensure on-time project execution.

The role requires Commercial General Contractor experience, OSHA 30, and proficiency with MS Project/Primavera; a BA/BS in construction-related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of leadership of trades and job sites.
• OSHA 30 certification required or must be obtained within 6 months.
• Working knowledge of scheduling software: Microsoft Project, Primavera and/or Suretrak.
• Knowledge of construction management and OSHA standards.
• Intermediate working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook; SharePoint preferred.

Responsibilities

• Developing and updating project schedules.
• Approving daily work tickets.
• Reviewing submittals.
• Setting up and tearing down job site logistics.
• Coordination of work with trades, subcontractors and vendors.
• Writing and reviewing scopes of work.
• Assisting Project Manager with bid procurement.
• Managing and closing out punch list activities in a timely manner.
• Communication with field personnel.
• Develop and maintain logs and reports for project execution.
• Maintain daily logs of work performed on site.
• Develop RFIs to document changes to the scope of work.
