Job summary

Subway Shelton seeks a Senior Product Manager for the Menu domain to shape strategy and drive large-scale initiatives across the menu and product ecosystem. You will partner with Culinary, Franchise, Technology, and Operations to translate executive priorities into a coherent domain roadmap and maintain backlog health.

You will own the roadmap, write specs, present to senior leadership, and build team metrics to guide decisions.

Qualifications

Experience shaping product or workflow strategy with a roadmap leadership sign-off.
Experience presenting to and influencing Director-level or above stakeholders.
5-7 years of experience in product management, engineering, product strategy, or related technical field.
Track record of managing a product backlog for engineering teams and translating stakeholder needs into well-scoped initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to set direction and quality standards that other PMs align to.
Experience building metrics or dashboards used by a broader team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization without direct authority over contributors.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience mentoring or coaching other PMs.

Responsibilities

Shape the strategy for the menu and product management domain and align with Subway's broader transformation.
Own the roadmap and business case for large-scale, multi-quarter initiatives.
Partner with cross-functional leaders to align domain strategy with priorities and secure buy-in.
Present strategy and roadmap progress to senior leadership and influence investments.
Own and maintain a healthy product backlog for engineering partners.
Set vision for backlog prioritization used by other PMs and stakeholders.
Work with Culinary, Franchise, Technology, and Operations to translate ambiguous asks into a plan.
Serve as escalation point for scope or sequencing decisions.
Write specs, PRDs, and requirements that pre-empt objections.
Build metrics and dashboards for strategic decisions.
Anticipate risks and build mitigation into plans.
Improve backlog grooming and intake processes.
Represent guest and franchisee perspective in trade-offs.
Mentor and coach PMs.
