Job summary

FormFactor, Inc. in Livermore, CA, is seeking a Sr. Principal Plating Engineer (MEMS R&D) to define and implement advanced electroplating technologies for MEMS probe fabrication.

You will lead DOE, scale electrodeposition, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable next-generation probe card performance, while mentoring engineers and driving process development with impact on the technology roadmap.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience in electroplating or MEMS processing.
• Advanced degree may substitute years of experience.
• Experience with DOE and process characterization.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute long-range technology roadmaps for advanced electroplating processes and metallurgical innovations.
• Lead research, evaluation, and implementation of novel materials and deposition technologies.
• Perform advanced materials characterization and lead root cause investigations of plating defects and reliability concerns.
• Mentor engineers and establish technical standards and best practices across the organization.
