Job summary

Silicon Desert Staffing seeks an experienced MEMS Process Engineer to contribute to development, transfer, optimization, and documentation of MEMS and optoelectronics fabrication processes. You will help meet performance goals and support device reliability through experiments and data analysis.

The role collaborates with Process and Device Engineering to define process sequences, layout rules, test structures, and transfer plans for production.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or Physics.
• MS with 5-7 years or PhD with 5+ years' experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics and process integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and perform experiments to determine process sequences and parameters.
• Analyze data from fabrication and testing to optimize parameters.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering to develop and optimize process modules.
• Support initial test chip processing and transfer to production, addressing issues for first-pass success.
• Write documentation to transfer the new process to production.
• Provide inputs to Device Engineers to develop layout rules based on data.
• Recommend test structures and contribute to test chip mask set layouts.
• Create and maintain project schedules with mitigation plans to meet deadlines.
• Provide regular development updates to external customers.
• Support quality, safety, CQI, 5S, yield management, and cost containment initiatives.
• Perform other duties as required.
