Job summary

Silicon Desert Staffing seeks a MEMS/Optoelectronics Process Engineer to contribute to development, transfer, optimization, and documentation of MEMS process flows and macro modules for reliable devices.

You will design experiments, analyze results, and collaborate with Process Engineering to optimize modules, transfer to production, and document the process. A Master’s in a related field and MEMS/DRIE experience are expected, with UNIX, DOE, and data-analysis skills valued.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of semiconductor device physics and process integration.
• Experience with MEMS fabrication, especially DRIE and related etching steps.
• Ability to characterize devices and document results, and to develop layout rules.
• Experience with DOE, statistics, problem solving, and technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Design and perform experiments to determine process sequences and parameters.
• Analyze data from fabrication to optimize parameters and improve yield.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering to develop and optimize process modules.
• Support transfer of new processes to production and document the transfer.
• Contribute to test structures and mask layouts to evaluate process dependencies.
• Create schedules and provide development updates to customers.
