Job summary

Quantinuum is seeking an Advanced Semiconductor/MEMS Layout & Routing Engineer in our Brooklyn Park, MN, Albuquerque, NM or Broomfield, CO locations.

You will translate complex device concepts into manufacturable mask layouts from design through verification and tapeout, collaborating with design engineers, fabrication scientists, cross‑functional partners, and external foundries to meet layout requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years in IC/MEMS/PCB layout using advanced EDA tools.
• 2+ years with PDKs, layout hierarchy, routing, verification and tapeout.
• U.S. Person required (citizenship/permanent resident/green card).
• National security restrictions apply.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine mask layouts for ion trap devices using Cadence Virtuoso, klayout and related tools.
• Collaborate with design engineers and fabrication scientists to resolve layout challenges through PDK and design rule changes.
• Coordinate with external foundries to align layouts and tapeout with PDKs and process requirements.
• Identify automation opportunities and AI/ML enhancements to speed up workflows.
