Job summary

nEye.ai is seeking a Senior MEMS Design Engineer to design, simulate, and optimize MEMS devices for optical circuit switches. You will work with Silicon Photonics, Mechanical, and Process Engineers to ensure high-performance, robust MEMS structures suitable for high-volume manufacturing.

You will leverage multi-physics modeling to push design efficiency, reliability, and manufacturability, contributing across the product lifecycle from concept through qualification testing.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a relevant technical field.
• 5+ years of hands-on MEMS design experience.
• Experience with nano-scale device fabrication.
• Experience optimizing MEMS with multi-physics models.
• Deep understanding of MEMS failure mechanisms.
• Proficiency with 3D-CAD and COMSOL.
• Experience in semiconductor fabrication and cleanroom practices.
• Familiarity with AI tools to accelerate workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and model MEMS structures focusing on performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Use multi-physics models to simulate device behavior and optimize designs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand failure modes and reduce FIT rates.
• Troubleshoot fabrication issues and coordinate with foundry process engineers to resolve problems.
• Contribute to the full product lifecycle from concept to high-volume manufacturing and qualification testing.
• Design for yield improvement.
