Job summary

nEye Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior MEMS Design Engineer to design, simulate, and optimize MEMS devices used in its optical circuit switches.

You will collaborate with Silicon Photonics, Mechanical, and Process teams to ensure high-performance, manufacturable MEMS structures for high-volume production. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of MEMS design experience, strong multi-physics modeling skills, and hands-on experience with nano-scale fabrication, COMSOL, and 3D-CAD.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in applied physics, electrical, mechanical, or materials science.
• 5+ years MEMS design experience with a product focus.
• Experience designing/fabricating nano-scale MEMS devices.
• Proficient in multi-physics optimization and failure analysis.
• Strong 3D-CAD and finite element skills (COMSOL).
• Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication and cleanroom practices.
• Experience with AI tools to accelerate engineering tasks.

Responsibilities

• MEMS design and optimization focusing on performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Use multi-physics models to simulate device behavior and optimize designs.
• Collaborate with Silicon Photonics, Mechanical, and Process teams; resolve failures.
• Contribute to full product lifecycle from concept to high-volume manufacturing.
• Design for yield improvement.
