Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior Process Engineer in Southern California to lead membrane water treatment design and optimization for municipal and industrial projects. You will mentor junior engineers, guide technical developments, and collaborate with clients and regulators on design concepts and execution.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, teamwork, and hands-on support from project inception through startup and optimization, within a hybrid in-office/work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Chemical, Environmental, or Process Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in water treatment or related engineering fields.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in California, or ability to obtain within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with fellow engineers on a wide range of projects.
• Participate in planning, design and construction oversight of membrane water treatment infrastructure.
• Develop technical reports and proposals.
• Guide, train, and mentor junior and intermediate process engineers.
• Work with clients to provide updates and build relationships.
