TAPCO Credit Union in Tacoma, WA seeks a Member Service Representative (MSR) and Senior MSR to deliver exceptional member experiences at the Canyon Branch. You’ll handle transactions, open and service accounts, process loans, and mentor teammates while embodying TAPCO’s values and commitments.

This full-time, onsite role emphasizes customer service, financial wellness, and community engagement, with a 90-day introductory period and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience working in a financial institution.
• 1 year of cash handling experience.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• New account and lending experience.
• Must be eligible for and able to maintain bondability as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming and professional experience by greeting members and handling transactions accurately.
• Build and retain member relationships in person and via outbound calling with expert knowledge of credit union products.
• Refer members to additional product solutions through engagement strategies.
• Balance cash drawer daily and resolve discrepancies.
• Support branch operations with drive-up, night drop, and opening/closing responsibilities.
• Adhere to applicable laws including BSA/OFAC in job functions.
• Collaborate with team members and across organizational levels.
• Engage in branch promotions and community events.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures relevant to the role.
• Open and service complex accounts (consumer, business, CDs, IRAs, safekeeping).
• Process consumer loan applications, meet with applicants, explain terms, and cross-sell products.
