Job summary

TAPCO Credit Union in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Member Service Representative (MSR) or Senior MSR to deliver outstanding service and accurate transactions in a branch setting.

You will open complex accounts, process loan applications, cross-sell products, and mentor junior teammates while upholding TAPCO’s values and member experience standards.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience working in a financial institution
• 1 year of cash handling experience
• 1 year of customer service experience
• New account and lending experience
• Must be eligible for and able to maintain bondability as a condition of employment

Responsibilities

• Greet members and handle all transaction needs accurately and efficiently
• Build and retain member relationships and refer to other business lines
• Refer members to additional product solutions
• Balance cash drawer daily and resolve discrepancies
• Support branch operations including drive-up, night drop, opening/closing responsibilities
• Open and service complex accounts (consumer, business, CDs, IRAs, safe deposit boxes)
• Process loan applications, guide applicants on terms, cross-sell GAP and protection plans
• Mentor MSR team members and collaborate across teams
