Qualifikationen

• At minimum, candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years Medical Device / R&D / laboratory experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to fabricate, assemble, test, and troubleshoot mechanical or electromechanical products.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, test protocols, assembly instructions, and technical procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.

Aufgaben

• Fabricate, assemble, modify, and troubleshoot medical device prototypes, test fixtures, and development equipment.
• Execute bench testing, characterization testing, simulated-use studies, and design verification activities.
• Document test methods, results, observations, deviations, and conclusions.
• Assist engineers with prototype iteration, design evaluation, root-cause investigation, and problem-solving.
• Develop and refine assembly methods, manufacturing processes, test methods, and work instructions.
• Support the transition of products from development into pilot production and commercial manufacturing.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory and prototyping equipment.
• Perform electronics assembly activities such as soldering, wire termination, connector assembly, and basic PCB programming.
• Prepare and operate 3D printers, perform routine printer maintenance, and complete post-processing of printed components.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measurement equipment, and other fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain organized project materials, components, tools, equipment, and laboratory workspaces.
• Support component sourcing, inventory management, and coordination with outside vendors.
• Work in accordance with Ontogen’s quality system, safety procedures, and applicable medical device development requirements.
• Coordinate assigned technical workstreams, communicate progress and risks, and ensure assigned activities are completed on schedule.
• Collaborate effectively across engineering, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and project-management functions.
• Perform other technical and project-support activities as needed.
