Job summary

Actalent, Inc. is seeking a skilled engineering technician for a contract role in Carlsbad, CA. You will collaborate with engineers and project managers to execute development plans, build and test prototype medical devices, and ensure compliance with design specs and safety standards.

You will document results, prepare concise reports, and support calibration, maintenance, and process improvements in a fast-paced R&D/manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as an engineering technician in the medical device field.
• Knowledge of prototyping, testing and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret test results and recommend changes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers/project managers to execute development plans.
• Build and test prototypes of medical devices and document results.
• Maintain lab equipment and ensure calibration and safety standards.
• Prepare technical reports and communicate findings clearly.
• Mentor junior technicians and support cross-functional teams.
